Let's talk about the difference between a good basketball player and a GREAT basketball player.

LeBron James is a GOOD player, 6ft 8in tall, solid 250 lbs, one of the most athletic players I've ever seen, voted MVP twice, 7x All-star, his accomplishments go on and on, but despite his record, his achievements aren't on par with Michael jordan or Kobe Bryant. King James, doesn't deliver in the 4th quarter, he's missing the "clutch gene" as they say. With the world watching his every move in the last few minutes of the game, he seems to clam up. Here's my explanation...LeBron James suffers from Atychiphobia ( fear of failing ). The pressure is just too much for him; too much thinking and not enough doing. His size and ability give him the potential to be great; he just has to learn the art of getting into the zone or "Beast Mode" as I like to call it.

When you watch players like Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant play it's almost magical at times, it doesn't matter the scenario or the circumstance when they are needed you can count on them, they automatically become clutch. Nothing stops them, they control the floor, and have the ability to make players around them become better. In other words, they have the "clutch gene", they do the impossible and make it look easy. In a game 5 series MJ suffered from a stomach virus and was weak and dehydrated, but still he turned on his beast mode and lead the team with 38 points. This is the type of action that inspires and encourages people in a time when winning just isn't the likely outcome.

Kobe Bryant scored 48 points with an injured wrist. When greatness appears before you, it is unusual, first rate and more than notable. Kobe and Michael are GREAT because they block out everything else and zone in, they feel unstoppable, making them indeed unstoppable.

When Lebron james builds his confidence and can get himself in this zone he become scary in his talent and may very well become the greatest player in the league.
