The NFL is changing, doing it's best to be a less injury prone and safer league. The rules today force players to play like pansy'sor pay a fine every time they tackle someone. If players like Lawrence Taylor, Ronnie Lott, Mike Singletary and Deacon Jones were to play in today's league not only would they not make much money because the fines they would incur would be ridiculous, but the game wouldn't be much fun for them. Football is a violent sport, it's a war, the pressure and anxiety of getting hit or evading a tackle and having your opponent narrowly miss you is what makes the game exciting, this is what players sign up for.
At the rate of the fines and rule changing, soon this will become a flag football league, the women's lingerie league is allowed to hit with more force than the men. Instead of having Nike or Reebok sponsor the NFL, maybe we can have Victoria Secret create apparel for the men and while we're at it, let's serve punch with fancy umbrellas on the sidelines instead of Gaterade.
Remember officials of the NFL a tackle is a maneuver in which a player takes down another player with force by any means necessary.
